The newly formed group at the University of Zurich performs research that spans the areas of organic and inorganic chemistry. Our goals are to enable the activation of strong chemical bonds in mild conditions and to provide simple approaches to structurally complex molecules and materials.

We will explore:

• fundamental transition metal chemistry with emphasis on multimetallic systems

• challenging reactions in organic synthesis and small molecule activation

• novel concepts and asymmetric methods for catalysis

 

The students will have an opportunity to engage in various project topics and gain expertise in both organic and coordination chemistry.
